Tsubaki is gentle and carries a mysterious air to her; she rarely ever talks about herself personally or discloses what she really feels. In spite of this, she always has a soft smile on her face and speaks in a quiet tone of voice. She sometimes strings together words in a way that doesn't make sense or sounds like a riddle, and generally seems to be absorbed in her own world in a way that's difficult to understand. She deeply loves nature, especially the water, and can almost always be found out by rivers, lakes, oceans, and any body of water she can find. She rarely ever gets stressed or angry, and generally accepts things that happen to her with a cool calmness.Biography
Tsubaki never knew her father and was raised solely by her mother, who was a very spiritual person that taught her respect for the natural world. She grew up hearing stories of spirits in the land and sea, and internalized a love of plants, animals, and especially water. Even as a child she was very quiet and gentle, and never seemed to have a bad thing to say about anyone. Her mother never spoke of her father, only ever saying that he didn't want to be around and it was for the better. So, when her mother got extremely sick later in Tsubaki's teens, there was nobody to care for her but Tsubaki and the doctors. When it became clear that her mother wouldn't have much longer left to live, she reassured Tsubaki that she would always be with her, and to remember the stories she'd been told her whole life to keep her going. Tsubaki grieved for months after her mother died, having relied on her as her rock her whole life. However, as time went on she decided she wanted to honor her mother and her love for nature by going into conservation work. She went to school for veterinary work with a focus on exotic animals, intending to eventually work with farms and reserves to help care for animals of all kinds. At 24, Tsubaki has taken a break from school to do some work with nature reserves, as a way of gaining experience in her career before moving on. People often comment that her love for animals and the environment is obviously very deep, but that it's so hard to get to know her because she seems so closed off.
